The only reason he looks back…
is to help the men he left behind…
He served his time in prison - paid for his crimes and moved forward.
Richard never complained about being locked up…
Never used his years in prison as an excuse…
after his release - He simply started his adult life by hitting the ground running.
Who will employ you when you are a felon?
Not many, but richard didn't let that stop him.
He took a college class in real estate and upon completing - went to his professor who owned a large real estate company in town and told him his story…
He Then asked if he could intern for him…
He wouldn't even have to pay him…
He started the following Monday and the professor saw his work - hired him full time at the end of the first week - paid him for his first week of work
With a year under his belt, Richard started his own home remodeling service. That turned into a great job soon being hired by other real estate agencies to fix up their houses.
Finally one of his clients hired him week in and week out,
That gave him the steady income to start a larger business for himself.
Richard didn't use excuses.
He went out and made it happen… by the seat of his pants -
HE bought used equipment needed for his trade - started learning on each job more and more skills -
When he didn't know how to do something he would ask or research how to do it…
HE made it Happen for himself.
10 years after prison - married and living in a great part of town, richard looks to give help to other men as they get out of prison.
So - you don't have a job -
Get rid of your excuses!
Go out there and make it happen!
You have got what it takes!
You can do it!
So,,,
Go for it!
He made it happen
Ted was released from prison. No family no friends in the free world except for two.
One with a local prison ministry and another with The Project Nashville.
He was put into a halfway house - funds were provided for the first few weeks of expenses
needed by the house.
TPN - took him to a department store and clothed him.
His second day in the house, Ted got up and started walking.
A block away he saw a house being renovated.
The contractor told Ted that he didn't need any workers.
Ted offered this proposal.
"I will work for you for a day - if you like my work pay me - if you don't , you owe me nothing."
The contractor loved his work and hired him.
Ted did the same thing with a larger contractor - who also hired him.
Then the owner of a business for whom the contractor was working - saw Ted's work and asked the contractor if he could hire Ted as his full time Maintenance man.
Ted took the job and Made it Happen with just a little help from us.
All Ted needed was a helping hand.
